If we have a light, it must shine forth.

Let me read this holy script without the glare of mortal light,
For I see its subtle beauty more vividly by soul's softer glow.
Let me sing this unaccompanied by all other instruments of music,
For I can follow better the one unmingled note.
Lesson
What the world needs is the inner light. Fulfillment of life does not come when we carry a heavy weight of materialism. We cannot buy happiness. We cannot buy peace. The greatest possession is this inner light. If we reveal that in our daily living, in every expression of life, then we will find unending happiness and will give something definite and real to the world. When we have cleansed our inner house, we will radiate something which will throw light upon everything in our path.
Prayer
Supreme Being, pour the light of Your Divine radiance
Through my heart and soul.
May I shine with Your glory
And shed forth Your Divine light.
May that light brighten the path of the desolate and afflicted.
May my whole life be a light to everyone.
